"It baffles me that I’ve learned more in 5 minutes than I have throughout the entire duration of my studies.
Your book needs to be a mandatory unit for all new teachers."

No amount of resources, educational games or book collections helped to ease this anxiety, rather I felt more overwhelmed surrounding myself with resources I did not have any plan with which to put to good use. Not only have your books allowed me to de-clutter my teaching kit bag, they have been like a secure fail-safe providing age appropriate activities to suit any occasion. Perhaps the most overarching benefit is the complete mental shift I have been able to make as a result of your books. I am no longer feeling intimidated by the unknown or overwhelmed with what to pack, what activities to prepare or how to plan for a successful day. I feel like a far better teacher thanks to your books.

I've always been in awe of your talent and gift. You have made my life as a relief teacher so easy plus the kids eat up all the lessons and activities. I've never had a class that's been more engaged than using all of your amazing books.

Thanks for making supply teaching so easy and rewarding!

I’ve followed you for years and finally but the bullet to return to teaching in a relief capacity, which is why of course I needed to purchase all you’ve got this week!
You blooming champion- not only are your resources incredible must-haves, but you posted the hard copies in a document folder so they slip right into my bag together and damage-free. You literally have thought of everything and have our backs all the way! Thank you 💖
Never underestimate the difference you have made with your work. I am a sole parent to an autistic boy and re-entering teaching 6 years ago had me swimming in anxiety. These days, my teaching days check-list reads: "hat, lunch, coffee mug, TFAD book... ". Your book helped me to work up the courage to get back into the classroom, to survive the difficult days, and eventually to land a permanent part-time position that now keeps the rent paid after my son converted to home-schooling due to bullying. Me being able to get back into teaching means we can afford a place where my son has a trampoline to bounce on and pets to love. Thank you so very much for helping us through these challenging times.

You're 100% awesome!!!! I bought your book when I started relief teaching and even though I'm a very experienced teacher, your book is my relief teaching bible! Seriously, the ONLY resource I need to keep me sane and do a great job.
- Ruth -
I'm a CRT & your TFAD book is my bible! It comes with me to every job.
It saved me last week when I walked into a day teaching
ART with no lesson left for me. I was able to deliver something fun & engaging without prep...so thank you!
I've given many CRT's the details of your book.
I have done Draw a Poem from your book many, many times!
As a reflection at the end of the lesson, I like students to do a gallery walk to
see all the creations!

I absolutely love this book. This is my first year of supply teaching after finishing teacher's college and it has saved me on more than one occasion. I would highly recommend this book to any supply/relief/substitute teacher, hands down. It'll help you out of a bind when there are no plans, you have to make a sudden change of plans, or you need extra activities to fill small amounts of time.

Amazing resource to have! I’ve spent hundreds on resources that I lugged around in an actual TROLLEY (the pull kind) for my first few days, then down-graded to a tub that just caused me pain to carry.
TFAD has such brilliant no-prep ideas that I can show up with my usual handbag and be ready to go, and am now super flexible with all these great ideas in my head! It’s made me much more confident in my own teaching, as well, even if there is work left for the day.
- Rebecca -
Fantastic! Best resource I own! Gives me a starting point when nothing is left behind and has given me the confidence to try new and different activities and lessons that are in the book. Already have recommended it to other teachers.
- Nathaniel , New graduate -
Honestly it’s a fantastic resource. I’ve actually spent over hundreds on getting resources ready and other pre-made ones, and this is the only one that I can actually rely on, it’s permanently in my schoolbag. Honestly you’re a lifesaver and a legend!
- Shonnie -
I feel more confident knowing it’s there so I believe it was a good investment. All subject areas are covered. I like that most activities are little to no preparation and it’s not so full of activities that it is overwhelming.

It has earned back its money as I have used it every relief day this year. It has saved me in times of need during music lessons, fitness and general activities.
I found I don’t need to pack as many resources as they are bound together all in one place. My favourite feature is the reflection plan. The examples remind me to find a positive in every day. I also stamp the PAID section once I have received my pay.It helps me keep track and reflect on my teaching. I would definitely recommend the book for relief teachers as a necessity in your bag of tricks.

I found I am less stressed if I end up in a school where a plan isn’t left. I love how the book is split into sections and it is easy to find the subject area you want. It saves planning time, has all you need in one book and I like that it is created by another CRT.

It made it a lot easier going into classes where there was no work left, also when you have some time to kill it is great to pull up a short activity. It is easy to use, there is a huge variety of different activities catered for different learning styles and the activities are ones the students actually enjoy.

I like the way the book is divided into different subjects and then again by lower or upper primary. Usually a plan is left, but I use the book for fast finishers and for game ideas. Also the diary and organiser are great! I like the pictures that go with the games and also the pictures that go with art. It makes them easier to understand.
- Melissa -
I saw the variety of ideas and thought they were so beautifully organised. It was a book with everything I needed in one place. My favourite feature is the layout of all of the activities. I love that it is user friendly, engaging and has variety.

Even if I walk into a subject outside of my specialisms and no lesson has been left I know I have something I can quickly pull out and keep the students engaged. It is cheap to purchase and very useful. I definitely recommend this book.
- Tori- High School Teacher -
I like the activities at your fingertips that don’t require photocopying. Activities in sections are flexible and can be used with a variety of classes with various learning needs. I like how it is broken up into a variety of levels lower/Middle/upper and how activities are relevant to kids when you know little about them & learning abilities. The colour coded sections of activities is also great.
- Joel- 10+ years experience -
So many ideas!Made me confident in having a day of work if nothing has been left. Love the layout of the book, simple and easy to follow but also really attractive and with pictures of activities such as art.
Thank you so much Kelly, exactly what I needed

It has a great collection of ideas to use and find quickly. Definitely helps for those times when activities are boring or students finish early. It is comforting knowing I have a backup plan if nothing is left or I need to find a new game to play. I love the pictures to match some of the activities and the easy art activities and how activities are broken up into lower and upper primary with activities that need minimal prep/resources.
- Jessica- New Teacher -
I have more confidence with different year levels. There are activities for each level so that I am engaging them with age-appropriate lessons. It makes it quick to find activities in the morning when I arrive if no plan is left. It is simple with not many extra resources needed. With engaging and fun lessons, I would definitely recommend for relief teachers.
- Rachel -
I wanted a little bit of reassurance for the days when no planning is left. I think the book is comprehensive and has enough to keep me going for the moment. I love the simple art ideas and the book often jogs my memory when I’m under the pump. I like how it is divided into sections and colour coded!
It’s handy, useful and thorough.
- Kasey -
A single go-to resource, lots of ideas that with my own experience I can get through my days, a resource that I ponder before a work day and come up with other ideas, so a brainstorming tool.
- Alison -
It has made me feel more confident in accepting last-minute relief jobs. I like how it is split up into sections, has an example of how a day in each year level is and the games you can play when you have a spare minute.
- Brooke -
I love having one resource that covers all subject areas with great ideas needing very little preparation to implement. I love having access to the ebook too. It has given me confidence- never stuck for an idea now.
If put on the spot and needing some time fillers it’s quick and easy to implement an activity from the book and they are engaging activities that the students enjoy. I love that the activities are with little or no photocopying and preparation to implement in class.
Thank you for creating an easy to use resource that can be used in any school, with any level, that is engaging and has worthwhile activities that can be used for 1 day or continued over a couple of days.

The constant testimonials on Facebook pages stating how good it is convinced me to buy it!
Things I love about it
1) Reminders about behaviour management and appropriate strategies
2) A list of resources
3) Ideas for activities.
Favourite part about it are the games – I just have no idea where to start and this gives me the basics.
